Authentic Irish knit, rare softness and timeless style
Knitted in Donegal, Ireland, this Fisherman Out of Ireland sweater embodies the balance between Aran tradition and a contemporary silhouette.
Its straight, slightly loose fit and structured knit provide an elegant presence without rigidity: a warm yet easy-to-wear everyday garment.
A durable essential, naturally comfortable and timeless.
- fairly straight bust width (not fitted)
- slightly dropped shoulders
- lower armholes
- shorter length
- ample but structured silhouette (not oversized)
Exceptional Geelong wool
Made from 100% Geelong wool (very fine merino lamb's wool)
Geelong wool comes from the first shearing of merino lamb. It is known for its fineness and natural loft:
- particularly soft feel
- light warmth without heaviness
- high breathability
- durable knit retention
- superior comfort to classic wools
It combines the comfort of a fine fiber with the structure of a true wool sweater.
Aran harp stitch knit
The knit uses an Aran "harp stitch" (raised stitch inspired by traditional Irish motifs):
- deep visual texture
- elegant volume without excessive thickness
- natural shape retention
- modern straight silhouette
A contemporary interpretation of the historic knit of the Irish islands.
Handmade in Ireland
- knitted in Donegal (Ireland)
- hand-linked stitches
- hand-finished
Each piece thus possesses the precision and flexibility of manual assembly, rarely found in industrial production.
Thermal comfort and use
Suitable for autumn, winter, and cool periods throughout the rest of the year
- comfortable indoors at moderate temperatures
- ideal under a coat outdoors
- warms without overheating thanks to the breathability of the wool
Wearing and layering tips
- Can be worn directly on the skin thanks to the softness of the alpaca wool
- In very cold weather, can be combined with a thin wool-silk layer (e.g. Cosilana) to enhance thermal insulation

About the size of wool garments
Genuine untreated wool retains its natural structure.
Unlike fibers stabilized with polymers, it remains flexible and alive: the fiber can stretch naturally (up to about +30%) then return to its shape, without permanent deformation.
An untreated wool garment, therefore, never remains totally fixed to a strict textile pattern.
It adapts to the body, movements, and ambient humidity: the material works, breathes, and conforms to the body shape.
Consequently, the size does not correspond to a closed category.
The main difference between two sizes is mainly in length (sleeves, total height), while the width remains adaptable.
Thus, for example, a size 44 can also fit a 46 - and depending on the models, sometimes even a 48 - without compromising comfort.
