Natural thermoregulation

The wool-camel hair blend gives it that teddy bear-like softness, creates a feeling of constant comfort and lasting well-being.

In winter, the pillow is naturally tempered: the air heated by the body is retained around the head and forms an insulating air cushion, one of the best natural protections against the cold.
In summer or warmer weather, wool absorbs moisture and perspiration without feeling damp or cold. It can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture while remaining dry to the touch.

Natural properties

Naturally antibacterial: protein fiber with an acidic pH does not provide a favorable environment for bacteria and viruses.
Antistatic: does not attract dust and does not provide a habitat for dust mites.
Suitable for sensitive and fragile skin.

Why not a 60 x 60 cm format?

Because in sleep ergonomics, a pillow should only support the head, and not the entire head + shoulders + shoulder blades.
A pillow that is too high or too wide puts the spine in the wrong position.

The width can vary depending on the width of the bed, but the ideal height remains 40 cm, to ensure precise and physiological support.

• How does this cover differ from the 100% wool version?

The addition of 10% camel hair provides a softer, denser and more enveloping feel than wool alone.
The feeling upon contact is softer and warmer, while retaining the breathability and thermal regulation inherent to wool.

• Is camel hair soft?
Yes.
Camel hair is a naturally soft and insulating animal fiber, traditionally used for its thermal qualities and supple feel.
Combined with wool, it enhances sensory comfort without making the material stifling.

• Is this cover warmer than the wool or wool-cashmere version?
It provides a more enveloping feeling of warmth, linked to the naturally insulating structure of camel hair.
However, it remains thermoregulatory: it does not cause overheating and continues to wick away body moisture.

• Can you sleep directly on this cover?
Yes.
This cover is perfectly suited for sleeping.
The wool-camel hair blend regulates temperature, absorbs moisture and offers a soft and stable contact, appreciated especially in winter and mid-season.

• Does the cover keep you warm in summer?
No.
Wool does not “keep you warm” in the classical sense: it thermoregulates.
In summer or hot weather, it absorbs moisture and prevents the feeling of dampness or stickiness, while remaining dry to the touch.

• Is this cover machine washable?
No.
It is not recommended to machine wash the wool cover to avoid felting and deformation of the fibers.
The main maintenance consists of ventilation and occasional brushing.

• How do I care for the cover on a daily basis?

Clean only the affected area, with room temperature water, using a genuine gall or Marseille soap, without immersing the entire cover.

It is designed to be used with the Saling pure virgin wool cushion. Or with another cushion with natural filling of the same dimensions.

• Can a pillowcase be used over the cover?
Yes.
It's possible to add a linen pillowcase (if possible, to maintain the thermoregulatory properties), particularly to adjust the feel if needed. But the main advantage of this cover is precisely its thermoregulatory capacity, ideal for people who sweat a lot during sleep.

• Is the cover suitable for allergy sufferers?
Yes.
Virgin wool is generally better tolerated than synthetic fibers because it is breathable, free from harsh chemical treatments, and naturally antibacterial.

• Don't try to "clean" this blanket too often. Air is its best friend. Air it regularly and, if necessary, very gently brush areas of friction to restore its fluffiness. The less you do this, the better it will age.
