Description

Unisex children's shorty made of organic wool, silk and cotton from the German brand Cosilana.

Its wrap-around shape provides better protection for the lower abdomen and upper thighs than classic underwear.
The fine, flexible mesh remains discreet under clothing while maintaining a dry and comfortable environment.

The presence of cotton (45%) stabilizes the knit and allows machine washing at 30°C (gentle spin max. 400 rpm).

The thermal performance is slightly softer than that of pure wool or wool-silk, but perfectly suited for everyday use, with easy care.

Understanding Cosilana sizes

At Cosilana, each size is designed to last until the next size. For example, a size 92 is designed to cover the entire growth period until the next size, increasing by 12cm each time , from approximately 92 to 104 cm (and often beyond, depending on the child's build). 12cm represents, on average, at least two years of growth.

Therefore, this is not a garment strictly limited to 92 cm, but an evolving size designed to accompany growth over an extended period.

Organic cotton 45%, merino wool 35% / silk 20%

Cosilana clothing is made exclusively from high-quality natural fibers. The brand uses merino wool, fine silk, and organic cotton, as well as blends of these natural fibers, selected for their softness, breathability, and comfort against the skin.

These materials come from controlled organic farming and livestock breeding, without chemical pesticides or synthetic additives.

• Washing
Machine wash: 30°C maximum, gentle spin 400 rpm max., wool program or hand wash. Use a special wool detergent.

• By hand: cold or lukewarm water, special wool detergent, without rubbing. Use a stain-removing soap beforehand if necessary.

This garment does not require lanolin treatment.

Cosilana is proud to be one of the few remaining brands that have not used any treatment for over 50 years, to preserve the properties intact!

Cosilana uses exclusively natural fibers from controlled organic farming and livestock operations, without pesticides or chemical additives. The wool comes primarily from selected farms in Patagonia and meets the requirements of organic agriculture.

Production takes place in Hechingen (Germany), with regional manufacturing allowing continuous traceability and reduced transport.

The yarns used are certified according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), which audits the entire textile chain—raw materials, processing, environmental and social aspects—through independent organizations. The brand also stems from the IVN initiative, a long-established natural textile organization.

This approach is based on a constant principle: respect for the environment and for people, with clothing designed to last while preserving the natural properties of the fiber.

• Why not use only cotton?
Cotton alone can remain damp against the skin.
Wool regulates humidity and temperature, which limits the feeling of cold and discomfort.

• Is it unisex?
Yes, the cut is suitable for both girls and boys.

• Does the belt constrict the stomach?
No. It is designed to provide support without excessive compression, and is also suitable for sleeping.

• Is it suitable for nighttime use?
Yes, it remains comfortable without any dampness during sleep. It's even a great product for nighttime!

• Does it need to be washed after each use?
Yes. As it is a hygiene undergarment, it must be washed after each use, like regular underwear.

• Is it machine washable ?
Yes. Wool program at 30°C with gentle spin (max. 400 rpm), special wool detergent

This product is one of my absolute favorites and I highly recommend it! This garment has been a staple for my children for years in all available sizes, as it's the only brand I know that makes this type of wonderful product!

• Here, it's mainly used at night as pajama bottoms. In fact, we wear it for an average of 4 nights without washing.

• It is also very practical and useful in winter as a classic shorty panty, being well covering and thermoregulating.

• Some children use it in the summer as shorts, purchased in 1 size larger.

• Choose the size based on the child's height in centimeters, not their age.
Each size is designed to be worn until the child reaches the next size.

A size 92 can be worn as long as the child measures between 92 cm and 104 cm (the next size up).
