This outfit is for your child if

You are looking for an outdoor outfit that your child can wear for a large part of the year (from October to April on average) , simply adapting the layers underneath according to the season.

You often travel by car and have to remove heavy coats for safety reasons, which exposes your child to the cold before the heating is active.

You want a versatile suit for winter, snow, holidays and outdoor activities, without having to buy an additional synthetic model.

You practice babywearing and you find that classic thick suits overheat both the child and the adult, while also being impractical.

You never know if your child is too hot or not hot enough, and you are looking for a solution that naturally regulates temperature.

You're tired of using multiple layers that restrict movement and make the child uncomfortable.

You want to reduce the frequency of washing thanks to a naturally breathable and self-cleaning material.

You are looking for clothing made from natural, healthy, durable and comfortable materials for your child.

    Description

The Disana boiled wool jumpsuit with zip meets a strong demand from parents: a natural, warm jumpsuit that is easy to put on thanks to a zip closure.
The zip opens wide to make dressing and changing easier, even with washable nappies.

Depending on the size, the jumpsuit features either arm and leg flaps (sizes 50/56 to 74/80) or knitted cuffs and side pockets (sizes 86/92 to 110/116) . The body is extra-long to offer ample freedom of movement and room for growth.

The hood and collar are lined with fine merino wool for optimal thermal comfort.

    Material and thermal performance

Made from boiled organic merino wool, this jumpsuit offers:

    • a very effective natural thermal insulation
    • excellent breathability
    • stable thermal regulation, without overheating
    • a natural resistance to odors and slight moisture

    Versatility and durability

    This combination is designed to:

    • autumn and winter
    • games in the snow, holidays and outdoor activities
    • babywearing, strollers, and daily commutes

It provides a natural alternative to synthetic quilted suits, which are often too warm and less breathable.

    Comfort, carrying capacity and mobility

Thanks to its loose and flexible cut, this jumpsuit does not constrict the child and allows for layering with woolen layers (leggings, longies, t-shirts, sweaters).
It is particularly suitable for carrying in a sling or baby carrier, without overheating or excessive bulk.
Unlike heavily padded synthetic suits, it allows the child freedom to move and play.

Colors: Gray, Indigo, Pink, Blackcurrant, Caramel, Eucalyptus, Olive, Aubergine

    Sizes: 50/56, 62/68, 74/80, 86/92, 98/104, 110/116

    Sizing advice

Note: Every baby and child grows at their own pace. Maison de MaMoulia recommends choosing the size based on height in centimeters rather than an approximate age.

    Understanding Disana Sizes

At Disana, each size is designed to last until the next size. For example, a size 98/104 is designed to cover the entire growth period until the next size , approximately from 98 to 110 cm (and often beyond depending on the child's build).

Therefore, this is not a garment strictly limited to 98-104 cm, but an evolving size designed to accompany growth over an extended period.

Carefully compare the garment measurements with your own measurements.

Living Woolℱ - Living Wool is an internal expertise concept-label developed by Maison de MaMoulia to identify products whose wool fiber is preserved as close as possible to its natural state, in the absence of industrial anti-felting treatments.

Untreated wool - an authentic and living fiber

This garment is made from untreated merino wool , without any industrial anti-felting treatment (such as Superwash, enzymes, NaturetexxÂź, polymer coatings, silicones or other similar processes).

The fiber thus retains its intact natural structure , responsible for its unique properties , as well as its natural lanolin.
This is what we call authentic and living wool.

Unlike wools treated to remove scales, artificially soften the fiber, and withstand machine washing, this wool naturally retains:

    • its thermoregulation (neither too hot nor too cold)
    • its ability to absorb moisture while remaining dry to the touch
    • its natural antibacterial properties
    • its resistance to odors and dirt
    • its natural elasticity (the garment returns to its shape when at rest)
    • its self-maintenance capacity through simple aeration

It is this intact fiber that allows for reduced washing, lasting, healthy and ecological comfort, and the preservation of a garment designed to last over time.

The natural benefits of merino wool

    • Naturally breathable, wool allows moisture to evaporate.
    • Warm but never stifling, suitable for all year round
    • Regulates temperature and creates a microclimate around the body
    • Resistant to odors and stains, therefore less frequent washing is required.
    • Antibacterial thanks to the pH of untreated wool
    • Elastic, returns to its shape after use (knees, buttocks, fabric stretching)
    • Soft and comfortable against the skin
    • Flame-retardant and UV-protective
    • Antistatic
    • 100% natural, recyclable and – truly – biodegradable
    Composition

‱ Pure organic merino wool, sourced from a production guaranteed to be mulesing-free and respectful of animal welfare. The wool comes from Patagonia, where the climate makes this practice unnecessary.

‱ The fibers are of very high quality, free of harmful substances at any stage of the manufacturing process, and free of microplastics. The dyes used are certified for natural fibers, and are kind to both skin and the environment.

‱ Production is GOTS and IVN BEST certified by Ecocert Greenlife (license no. 151699), with short production circuits guaranteeing traceability, quality and environmental responsibility.

    Conseils d'entretien

Natural wool does not need frequent washing. Regular airing is often sufficient.

Local cleaning of stains under ambient water with Ulrich gall or genuine Marseille stain-removing soap.

    ○ Complete wash (rare, when really necessary):

‱ Hand wash only. No machine wash, even on a "wool" or "delicate" program.
‱ Cold or room temperature water
‱ Essential rule: the same temperature for washing and rinsing
‱ Eco-friendly liquid laundry detergent specially formulated for wool or enriched with lanolin

    ○ Drying
    ‱ No tumble dryer
‱ No radiators, electric heating, or direct sunlight
    ‱ Drying flat
‱ Reshape while drying - and return from time to time to reshape further while the garment is still wet

    ○ Lanolin Maintenance
‱ For this wool, it is best to use Ulrich laundry detergent, which is already enriched with lanolin.
‱ Do NOT soak or impregnate the wool. Boiled wool does not like to stay in water for long periods (a 15-minute hand wash is sufficient).
‱ You can spray the lanolin diluted in water (for example, if you have some left over after bathing other woolen clothes)

    Fabrication & Écologie

    ○ Disana – A story of wool, craftsmanship, and respect. A German family business founded in 1982, at a time when natural textiles were still a niche market. From the very beginning, the brand has been built on a simple yet radical conviction: natural fibers are the foundation of healthy, sustainable textiles that respect both people and nature.

Rather than following global textile industrialization, Disana has chosen a different path: preserving traditional textile know-how, maintaining local production and creating clothes designed to last.

    ○ A rare, local and controlled textile manufacturing process.

Disana is one of the few European brands to maintain a largely integrated production chain in Germany.
Knitting, garment making and quality control are carried out in their own workshops, with short supply chains and complete traceability.

    This choice allows:
‱ strict quality control of textiles,
‱ a reduction in transport and environmental impact,
‱ maintaining local jobs and traditional textile know-how.

Each Disana piece is designed as a functional, durable and timeless textile, intended to accompany everyday life for many years.

    ○ Raw materials selected with exacting standards.

The merino wool used by Disana comes from farms that respect animal welfare, with production guaranteed to be mulesing-free.
The fibers are selected for their quality, softness and natural properties: thermoregulation, breathability and durability.

Dyes and treatments are chosen for their compatibility with natural fibers and their low environmental impact, in order to preserve the health of the skin and the planet.

    ○ Some of the strictest certifications in the textile industry.

Disana is among the pioneers of certified organic textiles.
The brand is GOTS and IVN BEST certified, two of the world’s most demanding labels for natural textiles and social responsibility.

    These certifications guarantee:
‱ the absence of toxic substances,
‱ complete traceability of the production chain,
    ‱ fair working conditions,
    ‱ very strict environmental standards.

    ○ A comprehensive commitment: textiles, people and the environment

At Disana, sustainability is not limited to the material.
    The brand is committed to:
‱ respectful and humane working conditions,
    ‱ responsible and transparent production,
‱ waste reduction and the recycling of textile scraps,
‱ the transmission of textile know-how and the training of apprentices.

    ○ Textiles designed to last and be passed down

Disana designs timeless, repairable and durable clothing and textiles, designed to be worn for a long time, passed down between children, and used for years.

Merino wool, a living and renewable material, is at the heart of their philosophy: a textile that regulates temperature, breathes, protects and accompanies the body naturally.

    Questions fréquentes

‱ Is this jacket warm enough for winter?
    Yes.
Boiled wool is a dense and naturally insulating material. With a merino wool base layer and, if necessary, a mid-layer, this jacket is suitable for cold winter temperatures.

‱ What is the difference between this zip-up jacket and the Disana Outdoor jacket?

    - Zip jacket: versatile and comfortable model, lighter, ideal for everyday wear, mid-season and carrying.

    - Outdoor Jacket: a more technical and warmer model, lined with wool jersey, with a "High Reach" cut and knitted elastic at the hem to prevent cold air from getting in. Designed for outdoor activities and cold and windy conditions.

‱ Why is the back longer?
The extended back protects the lower back when the child squats, plays, or is being carried. This is an important ergonomic detail for thermal comfort.

‱ Is it windproof and water-repellent?
Boiled wool offers good natural resistance to wind thanks to its felted and compact structure.
It is also naturally water-repellent: the wool fiber repels light water (drizzle, humidity), without being totally waterproof like a coated synthetic fabric.

‱ Does wool make you itch?
The merino wool used by Disana is selected for its fineness and softness.
Most people find it very comfortable, even in direct contact with the skin.

    Conseils de Yuliya

    ‱ Layering system:

Disana boiled merino wool clothing is a logical continuation for parents who already dress their children in ManyMonths merino wool adjustable garments. But it's also suitable for any family looking for simple, effective, and natural thermal protection.

‱ Under a Disana boiled wool garment, very few additional layers are needed to create a truly natural, comfortable and breathable thermal cocoon, both in winter and in mid-season.
To fully benefit from the properties of wool, it is recommended to adjust the layering according to the season and activity.

    ○ Outer layer - Disana boiled wool (jackets, jumpsuits, coats), boiled wool skirt or trousers, boiled wool or knitted wool hat and mittens (Disana, ManyMonths)

    ○ Mid-layer - ManyMonths or Disana merino wool: T-shirt, sweater or cardigan, leggings

    ○ Base layer - Cosilana natural "second skin" underwear: Wool/silk or wool/silk/cotton T-shirts and leggings

    ○ Accessories - Hirsch Natur wool socks to complete the thermal insulation of the extremities

‱ I discovered this brand in 2012, when I bought a small blanket (Original model in ecru, the brand's first product) for my baby, then a boiled wool jumpsuit.
Discoveries of this quality and perfect thermoregulation were a real game-changer: faced with the lack of these products in France, I started offering them in stores in 2013, actively contributing to the development and visibility of Disana on the French market ever since.

I also had the pleasure of visiting the brand's factory in Germany and meeting their teams on several occasions. Disana now holds no secrets for me, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for both children and adults.

‱ I insist that these beauties should only be washed by hand (if necessary!) if you want them to last for many years while taking care of you.

    Disana
