This sleep sack is made for your child if…

You are looking for a comfortable sleep solution that works almost all year round, simply by adjusting the bodysuit or pajamas underneath.

Your child uncovers themselves at night… then wakes up because they are cold.

You never know how to dress them for sleep without the risk of overheating.

You want to avoid synthetic materials that cause sweating and wake the baby up damp.

You wish to space out washes thanks to a naturally breathable material.

You are looking for a healthy, soft, and truly soothing sleeping environment.

    Description

The Disana knitted sleep sack acts as a natural thermal envelope.

The highly covering top protects the chest and back, while the two-position adjustable waist allows for easy height adjustment according to the child's size.

The stretchy knit envelops without constricting and moves with the child during sleep.
The wide bottom section provides ample space for free leg movement - baby can wriggle, turn, and sleep comfortably.

Sleeveless, it naturally adapts to the ambient temperature: simply adjust the layer underneath instead of changing sleep sacks.

Perfect as a useful birth gift - and used for a long time.

    Wool and thermoregulation

Knitted from Disana organic merino wool, renowned for its softness and reliability for over 40 years:

    • natural warmth without overheating
    • continuous skin breathing
    • moisture absorption without feeling wet
    • natural odor resistance
    • stable comfort indoors and outdoors

    Its voluminous knit traps air:
the child stays tempered instead of just being "insulated."

    Use

    Works equally well:

    • for nighttime sleep
    • for naps
    • in a heated home
    • on the go
    • almost all year round depending on the outfit worn underneath

Suitable from newborn to toddler thanks to adjustable straps and evolving shape.

Why babies sleep better in it

Wool creates a cocoon-like sensation close to body heat:
neither too hot, nor cold, nor damp - the body no longer needs to constantly regulate itself.
Sleep becomes more stable and deeper.

    Colors:

Pink, Caramel, Dove blue, Ecru, Jade

    Sizes:

    60 cm and 75 cm

    Which size to choose?

The indicated length corresponds to the sleep sack, from the shoulder - not the baby's size.

The size is appropriate when the neckline remains snug (a maximum of one finger space) and about 10 cm remain free at the feet.

    Thus:
Size 1 generally fits up to ~75 cm (approximately the first year).

It is not recommended to choose size 2 for a newborn or young baby (often before 6 months). Too much space gives a feeling of instability and reduces the sense of security sought for sleep.

As the knit is woven and naturally stretchy, the sleep sack grows with the child: the length is not fixed to the exact centimeter and remains comfortable for a long time.

    Composition

    • Pure organic merino wool, sourced from a production guaranteed to be mulesing-free and respectful of animal welfare. The wool comes from Patagonia, where the climate makes this practice unnecessary.

    • The fibers are of very high quality, free of harmful substances at any stage of the manufacturing process, and free of microplastics. The dyes used are certified for natural fibers, and are kind to both skin and the environment.

    • Production is GOTS and IVN BEST certified by Ecocert Greenlife (license no. 151699), with short production circuits guaranteeing traceability, quality and environmental responsibility.

    Maintenance tips

Natural wool does not need frequent washing. Regular airing is often sufficient.

Local cleaning of stains under ambient water with Ulrich gall or genuine Marseille stain-removing soap.

    ○ Complete wash (rare, when really necessary):

    • Hand wash only. No machine wash, even on a "wool" or "delicate" program.
    • Cold or room temperature water
    • Essential rule: the same temperature for washing and rinsing
    • Eco-friendly liquid laundry detergent specially formulated for wool or enriched with lanolin

    ○ Drying
    • No tumble dryer
    • No radiators, electric heating, or direct sunlight
    • Drying flat
    • Reshape while drying - and return from time to time to reshape further while the garment is still wet

    ○ Lanolin Maintenance
    • For this wool, it is preferable to use Ulrich laundry detergent already enriched with lanolin, rather than prolonged soaking with a Cure or Impregnation.
    • Or a diluted treatment or impregnation bath, for a maximum of 1 hour

    Manufacturing & Ecology

Since 1982, Disana has manufactured its products in Germany, maintaining a largely integrated production chain: knitting, garment making, and quality control are all carried out in its own workshops, ensuring complete traceability and minimizing transportation. This local production allows the company to preserve traditional textile expertise while ensuring consistent quality.

Merino wool comes from farms that prioritize animal welfare and are guaranteed mulesing-free. The fibers are selected for their natural properties—breathability, thermoregulation, and strength—and then processed using methods compatible with their structure to avoid unnecessary alterations. Dyes are chosen for their low environmental impact and compatibility with the fiber.

The textiles are GOTS and IVN BEST certified, two demanding standards that govern the organic origin of the materials, the absence of harmful substances, fair working conditions, and strict environmental criteria. The approach also includes waste reduction, the reuse of production scraps, product repairability, and the transmission of know-how.

The whole aims for the same objective: to create functional, durable and transmissible clothing, designed to accompany daily use for a long time rather than a short consumption cycle.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    • What should I wear underneath?
We simply adjust according to the temperature:
    - Summer / Warm room: Short-sleeved wool/silk bodysuit
    - Mid-season: long-sleeved bodysuit in pure wool or wool/silk
    - Winter: pure wool long-sleeved bodysuit, possibly a t-shirt or wool-silk bodysuit underneath OR a pure wool vest over the wool bodysuit (for example for cooler temperatures +17-18°C)

    • From what age can it be used?
    From birth.

    • Won't my baby get too hot with so many wool diapers?
    No.
Merino wool naturally regulates temperature and wicks away moisture. It therefore limits overheating compared to synthetic sleeping bags.

    • How often should it be washed?
Rarely. Ventilation is usually sufficient. Wool naturally neutralizes odors.

    • Does she scratch?
    No.
The merino wool used is soft and the voluminous knit limits direct, tight contact with the skin.

    Yuliya's Tips

    • It's an essential and universal basic product that will be useful everywhere, even in summer! An acquisition you won't regret because it's really useful.

    • I discovered this brand in 2012, when I bought a small blanket (Original model in ecru, the brand's first product) for my baby, then a boiled wool jumpsuit.
The discoveries of this quality and perfect thermoregulation were a real game-changer: faced with the lack of these products in France, I started offering them in stores in 2013, actively contributing to the development and visibility of Disana on the French market ever since.

I also had the pleasure of visiting the brand's factory in Germany and meeting their teams on several occasions. Disana now holds no secrets for me, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for both children and adults.

    • I insist that these beauties should only be washed by hand (if necessary!) if you want them to last for many years while taking care of you.

    Disana

Disana was founded in 1982 in Germany, at a time when natural textiles were still a niche market. From the outset, the family business followed a simple conviction: healthy clothing begins with an undamaged fiber. Rather than following the trend of industrial textile production, the brand chose to preserve local expertise and produce garments designed to last.

Over the years, Disana has been one of the few European manufacturers to maintain a largely integrated production chain in Germany. Knitting, garment making, and quality control are all carried out in their own workshops. This choice allows them to control quality, minimize transportation, and preserve a true textile craft. Each piece is designed as a functional and timeless textile, intended to be a part of everyday life for years to come.

Merino wool comes from farms that prioritize animal welfare and are guaranteed mulesing-free. The fibers are selected for their natural properties—breathability, temperature regulation, and durability—and processed using methods compatible with the material to protect both skin and the environment. GOTS and IVN BEST certifications cover the entire supply chain: complete traceability, absence of harmful substances, and fair working conditions.

At Disana, sustainability goes beyond the product itself. Reusing textile scraps, repairing garments, and passing on know-how are integral to their approach. The pieces are designed to be worn for a long time, often passed down from child to child, based on the idea that a well-made garment can last for several lifetimes rather than just one season.
