Beautiful, modern leggings made from natural material... they've almost become impossible to find.

Many of us look for them, and often... for nothing.
In this universe, synthetics have become the norm: to last, to go in the washing machine, to avoid returns from unhappy customers.

Finding untreated wool is already complicated.
Finding 100% untreated wool is even more so.

Even though these leggings don't contain wool (98% organic cotton, 2% elastane), I chose to include them anyway.

These are a true rarity: modern leggings, with an elaborate pattern, in a quality natural knit - without polyester, without compromising on material.

So yes, it's not wool...
but it's exactly the kind of piece you hardly ever come across today.

And when I find them, I'm happy to offer them to you too.

And most importantly: it's a footless version.

The part of the garment that wears out the most disappears.
You choose your socks according to the season, activity or shoe.
You avoid abrasion at the heel and toes.
And the leggings naturally last longer.

In other words: you keep the comfort... without sacrificing longevity.

Why choose the footless version?

  • significantly limits wear (heels and toes are the most fragile area)
  • allows you to adapt warmth with your own socks
  • more comfortable in shoes
  • easier washing and drying
  • extended lifespan

Colors:

Black

Available sizes:

36-38, 38-40, 40-42

Sizes are expressed in German sizes, but the double-sizing and elasticity make adjustment easy, and the main difference between two sizes is mainly in length.

Example: I am 177cm tall and wear a French M-38, so I can wear size 36-38 AND 38-40, but for my height, I opt for the longer tights in 38-40.
German size 40-42 can fit French 42-44

Composition

• 98% organic cotton (GOTS)
• 2% elastane (core)

Maintenance tips

Hand wash at room temperature, with an eco-friendly detergent.
Do not rub or wring.

Manufacturing & Ecology

Grödo's production is based on a textile approach entirely focused on natural fibers.

The materials used are:

• cotton from controlled organic farming
• wool mainly from organic farms
• yarns dyed in Germany
• European manufacturing

GOTS certification requires control of the entire textile chain: processing, dyeing, and finishing.
The brand applies its manufacturing philosophy: simultaneous respect for the wearer, the environment, and comfort of use.

The objective is not only ecological but also functional: to preserve the natural physical properties of the fibers (breathability, thermoregulation, and skin tolerance).

Frequently Asked Questions

• Is it warm?
Rather temperate. The cotton and openwork structure allow air to circulate: perfect for mid-season, indoors or not-too-cold days.

• Is it transparent?
The openwork pattern allows light to pass through slightly: it remains discreet when worn, but is not completely opaque. It is ideal with a dress, a skirt or shorts.

• Can it be worn in summer?
Yes,
depending on personal heat tolerance. The breathable cotton avoids the stifling effect of synthetic materials.

• Is it durable?
Yes.
The absence of feet limits main wear and tear, and the cotton knit withstands daily friction well.

Yuliya's Tips

Grodo

The story of Grödo began in 1924 in the Black Forest, Germany's historic textile region.

For decades, the company manufactured classic hosiery, before making a turning point in 1982: the gradual abandonment of majority synthetic fibers in favor of natural materials.

At a time when industrial practicality was becoming the norm, the brand chose the opposite: to work with wool and cotton for their intrinsic qualities rather than chemically modifying them to adapt them to machines.

Over the years, a small natural collection became a complete range covering all ages.

Grödo thus fits into the German tradition of specialized textile manufacturers: little marketing, but continuity of manufacturing and slow evolution based on the material itself.
