Maintenance: simple, natural, sustainable.
Lambskin doesn't need to be washed often. It can last a lifetime without washing!
Wool is self-cleaning.

• Infrequent cleaning required:
Brush with a special brush to restore volume.
Avoid stagnant moisture.
Regular ventilation + brushing = sufficient.

• Tasks ?
Clean locally under ambient tap water, without washing the entire skin.

• Complete wash (rare):
- By hand, room temperature water, in a bathtub
- With special lambskin detergent (with lanolin) Ulrich
- Without fabric softener
- Without twisting
- Dry flat, leather side up
Never place on a radiator or in direct sunlight.
- Reshape during drying
- Once dry, roll it up to soften it

• Important
Urinary incontinence does not require washing!
Ventilation is sufficient.

• Can you sleep directly on it without a sheet?
Yes. It's actually the optimal way to take advantage of thermoregulation: gentle warmth in winter, coolness in summer, and a surface that's always dry and breathable.

• Is the skin suitable for daily use?
Yes. Kaiser skins are designed for intensive use. They renew themselves thanks to ventilation and natural lanolin, without requiring frequent washing.

• Is it comfortable in summer?
Yes. Wool absorbs moisture without feeling wet and regulates temperature. Unlike synthetic materials or cotton, you stay dry and cool.

• Is it suitable for people with sensitive skin, allergies, or skin problems?
Yes. Wool is naturally antibacterial, breathable, and well-tolerated, even by very sensitive skin. Dust mites don't live in it.

• Does the skin slip on the mattress?
No. The models for adult beds are equipped with four elastic bands to keep them perfectly in place, even during the night.

• Which model should I choose for a double bed?
Several options:
a 140 × 200 cm model or 160 × 200 cm if you want to cover the entire surface;
a 90 × 190 or 90 × 200 cm skin if one of the sleepers prefers not to use one.

• Are the hides treated or dyed?
No, not for dyeing.
The golden color comes from Relugan tanning (also known as medical tanning), a chrome-free process. It's a gentle, non-toxic tan, not an added dye.

• Is the skin ecological?
Yes. It is a natural by-product of livestock farming, certified Oeko-Tex Leather Standard, and used sustainably.

• Is it normal for the skin to have a sheepish smell upon receipt?
Yes, and thankfully so! It's the natural scent of wool, unmasked by chemicals. A few days of airing is perfectly sufficient.

• Is the skin suitable for people suffering from joint pain or rheumatism?
Yes. Constant thermal support and breathability can improve nighttime comfort in cold and humid environments.

• For a double bed, if one of the two doesn't want it:
Get a 90cm hide all to yourself!
• Upon receiving it: do not wash it under any circumstances! The natural odor is normal => air it out for a few days if it bothers you

Transmise sur deux générations, la marque s’est spécialisée dans le traitement respectueux des peaux d’agneau naturelles. L’objectif n’a jamais été d’accélérer la fabrication, mais de conserver les qualités intrinsèques de la matière : douceur, régulation thermique et confort au contact direct de la peau. La majorité des articles est encore fabriquée localement, afin de garder la maîtrise des étapes et du savoir-faire.

Les peaux dites "médicales" sont contrôlées chaque année par TÜV Rheinland et certifiées OEKO-TEX® LEATHER STANDARD 100 Classe I. Elles sont garanties sans tannage au chrome, un choix technique essentiel pour permettre un usage sûr dès la naissance. Cette exigence ne vise pas seulement la conformité, mais la durabilité : un produit capable d’accompagner longtemps sans compromettre la sécurité ni le bien-être.
