Alpacas live on the Andean high plains, where temperatures can go from -25°C at night to +18°C during the day!
Their fiber has naturally adapted to these extreme variations: it insulates from the cold while wicking away excessive heat.

Size guide:
Esencia sizes are expressed in international sizes, they size like French sizes. Choose your usual size.
Example: I am 177cm tall and wear a French M-38, my size at Esencia is an M.
Thanks to its naturally stretchy ribbed knit, this model adapts flexibly to the body: size S can also fit a 34, and size XL a 44.
About the size of wool garments
Genuine untreated wool retains its natural structure.
Unlike fibers stabilized by polymers, it remains flexible and alive: the fiber can stretch naturally (up to about +30%) and then return to its shape, without permanent deformation.
An untreated wool garment therefore never remains totally fixed to a strict textile pattern.
It adapts to the body, movements and ambient humidity: the material works, breathes and follows the morphology.
Therefore, the size does not correspond to a closed category.
The main difference between two sizes lies mainly in the length (sleeves, total height), while the ease in width remains evolutionary.
